Long Beach City College offers two-year degree programs well suited for the commuting student. A Combined Heat and Power strategy was implemented to mitigate soaring energy expenses due to the growing student population. HPS proposed the inclusion of approximately 1 MW of microturbines deployed in two different campus locations to meet the electrical and thermal needs of the teaching facilities.
