The
mission of the project is clear in operating the current and future state of the
art in distance learning, real time large format video presentation/conference,
document imaging and archiving, multiple venue video linkage, Web casting, etc.
to support these and future potentials, the infrastructure (fiber, wire and
wireless) systems of the project must be “robust”, easy to use and adaptable to
changing technology. The project metaphor is “the evolution of the Camino Real
into the cultural information superhighway”.
